Accessibility statement
The Finnish center for preventing antisemitims AVEK ry is committed to ensuring that its websites are accessible to all users, including those with special needs. This accessibility statement applies to our website www.aveksuomi.fi and it describes how the accessibility principles have been implemented and where the possible shortcomings are. This description has been updated on 21 November 2024.
What is accessibility?
Accessibility means that websites and digital services are accessible to all people, regardless of their individual characteristics or limitations. This applies, for example, to persons with vision, hearing, motor or cognitive challenges.
The goal of accessibility is to ensure that online services are clear, easy to use and technically functional for all users. Accessibility is based on the WCAG 2.1 criteria (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), according to which services can be evaluated at three levels: A, AA and AAA. Our goal is to meet the AA level of accessibility requirements, which is the minimum level of legislation in Finland.
Accessibility status
According to the current assessment, the website largely meets the WCAG 2.0 AA criteria. The accessibility analysis has been done as follows:
-
Analysis tools: Wix's accessibility tool and browser-based accessibility checkers.
-
Date of analysis: 15.11.2024.
-
Changes made: We have fixed, among other things, contrast problems, missing alternative texts and improved keyboard navigation.
Please note that the state of accessibility is constantly evaluated, and we make necessary improvements based on user feedback and technology development.
Known accessibility gaps
Although we have done our best to ensure the accessibility of the website, the following shortcomings are possible:
-
Third-party content: Some elements of external services, such as embedded forms, may not meet accessibility requirements.
-
Dynamic Content: Certain animations and transitions may be challenging for users with sensory sensitivities.
-
Language and clarity: Some text content can still be improved in terms of clear language.
